Christmas Snake

Just a quick post for today. The photo shows an electronic snake toy I bought for our cats. (From ads I saw on Facebook.) It goes back and forth, reacts to objects in front them, pauses every once in a while waiting for a cat to paw at it, then starts up again.

Quiet day. Last night I made cheese fondue, a family NY Eve tradition (from the ’70s; it’s not a dish, I gather, that is anymore popular now than a jello “salad” is). We watched one of the NY Eve shows last night until midnight East Coast Time, then a little while more. (And later I woke up when a few fireworks went off at midnight local time.)

This morning we watched the Rose Parade while breakfasting on a mushroom omelet with rusks and OJ. Mid-day walk around nearby streets. Started streaming a movie, which we’ll finish after dinner.

I think I’ll amend my 2021 in Review post a bit (partly on advance from Y), but not until tomorrow.
